Kim Schmullian Launches Glasgow Cathcart Campaign for Holyrood 2026

Reform UK candidate Kim Schmullian has officially launched her campaign for Glasgow Cathcart ahead of the 7 May 2026 Scottish Parliament election, promising to bring real change to a constituency she says has been taken for granted by the SNP.

Speaking at Kings Park, Schmullian said: "The people of Cathcart, Kings Park, Simshill, Croftfoot, and Burnside deserve a Holyrood representative who will actually fight for them. GP waiting times are too long, the cost of living is crushing family budgets, and young people cannot afford to buy a home here any more. These are solvable problems — but they require a party with the will to solve them."

Schmullian's campaign will focus on improving NHS primary care access, tackling the cost of living, supporting local schools, and investing in the parks and green spaces that make this constituency such a great place to live.

She plans to hold regular community meetings across all parts of the constituency — from Langside and Mount Florida to Burnside and Croftfoot — in the months leading up to the election.

"This is a constituency that people are proud to live in. My job is to make it even better — and that starts by going to Holyrood and demanding the investment and the action that south Glasgow families deserve," she added.
